“What if” are simple words that seem to introduce feelings of concern or worry. Why is that?
What if it brought about the exact opposite emotion? Say, excitement or courage?
I was recently asked by Carolyn Cooper, the founder of SimplyHealed™ to participate in a weekend Energy Healing Conference where I would be working with her giving free 5-minute SimplyHealed™ energy tune-ups.
Because I’ve been working on my own health challenges this last year, my first thoughts were big “what ifs”!
What if I’m too tired?
What if I don’t have enough energy?
What if something happens while I’m away from home?
I wondered if I should say no because of these What if questions.
Because I didn’t like how I felt when considering these questions, I switched to other “What if’s” such as:
What if I do have plenty of energy?
What if I’m perfectly fine?
What if I do have a great experience?
The energy around those “what ifs” felt so good that I felt confident in saying yes!
I knew it was the right decision because I began eagerly anticipating the event.
After two full days of providing continual mini-energy sessions, you would think I’d have been exhausted, but the truth is, I was invigorated! It was rewarding to help so many people! I was enlivened!
What if I had missed that opportunity because of letting “what if” remain negative?
What if, from now on, I let “what if” signal possibilities and growth?
What good things can we open ourselves up to today by asking a cheery, “What if…?”
With love,
