Have you ever realized, after a few hours, or (eeek), even days, that you have not set foot outside?!
We often hear of the physical and mental health benefits of being out in nature, but did you realize that there is also an energetic benefit? Addressing our bodies energetic needs directly affects our physical and mental well-being.
Because I work from home, I can spend hours at my computer, wholly focused and intent in my work, the hours passing, until it dawns on me that in my attempt to check just one more thing off my to-do list, I have neglected my physical, mental and energetic health!
In fact, it is so easy to do that if I do need to leave the house, I can walk out to the garage, get in my car and run my errands without really getting out of the car! I may need to drop off or pick up a child from school, (without getting out of the car) or maybe take a few steps from the car into the grocery store or an office where I have an appointment. My days can pass without any noticeable time spent outdoors unless I consciously take time and make it a priority!
Does that ever happen to you?
No wonder we may often feel cranky and disconnected from ourselves and our loved ones!
I enjoyed this article from the University of Minnesota on how nature affects our well-being.
I’m a big proponent of learning how to raise our vibration and getting out into nature is definitely one of the most rewarding and effective ways!
See what you can do today, even if the weather is a little dicey, to connect and be rejuvenated by the great outdoors!
Here’s to your energetic well-being!
Love,
