I awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of pounding rain. Or was it hail?
All I knew was that it was very loud and our recently planted grain crop was vulnerable.
Should I worry?
I knew my husband would not be happy. It could mean extra work and possibly losing the crop.
On the other hand, water from the canal was not yet available and the crops needed moisture. Rain would be helpful, if it were just rain.
I wasn’t sure what to think. All I knew at that moment was that worrying was keeping me awake.
Regardless of what was happening to the crops in that moment, I did know that the direction of the coming day would be determined by what I chose to think during the night.
Energies of low vibration result from emotions such as frustration, anger, anxiety, and unhappiness. We don’t have good experiences or make good decisions when in that state.
Could I have faith that everything would work out? If I did, what would result from that higher vibration energy?
I always make wiser and more positive decisions when I’m happy.
As I was listening to the storm, I couldn’t help but smile at the quote that came to mind. “What do you mean worry doesn’t work. Nothing I worry about ever happens.”
Smiling at the moment was a good sign.
Maybe I couldn’t jump to feeling joy, but I could choose not to worry.
And that is important because we emit energy. And like antennae, we are constantly sending out and receiving signals. We radiate our thoughts, our beliefs, our emotions and draw the same towards us.
Think of the energy you are sending to your worries.
I’ve heard worry defined as putting faith and energy into what you don’t want to happen.
I would much rather put faith and energy into what I do want to happen.
Experiment today with turning your thoughts toward what you want instead of what you don’t want. Start with minor worries and notice the positive changes occur.
Better yet, let go of any worry, whether minor or more serious and experience the higher vibration of well-placed faith.
I’d love to hear what you experience! Post below or send me an email.
With love,
P.S. Just so you know, the grain crop survived and everything turned out fine. 🙂

Thank you Marilyn! Sometimes that’s about the only thing we can do. ?
