I don’t remember what was annoying me, but I remember that my irritation was becoming obvious to others.
I suddenly heard a voice say,
“Mom, what can you do in this moment to raise your vibration?”
My daughter’s question caught me off-guard, and I began to laugh hearing my own words repeated back to me.
(Maybe my kids have been listening.?)
It was a good question, and the answer can change how we feel in any given moment.
With a plan and a conscious decision, we can change the emotions we are experiencing.
When you are tempted to succumb to annoyance, do you have a plan of action?
Having a list of ready-made helps can assist you change the trajectory of your thoughts when you become annoyed.
- Take a deep breath
- Focus on something positive
- Pray
- Meditate
- Repeat an uplifting thought
- Take a break from your task
- Think of all that is going right
- Get up and move your body
- Change your physical environment
- Go for a walk
- Take a power nap
- Express gratitude
The list can go on and on.
It does not take much to change the direction of your thoughts and therefore your mood.
It just takes a conscious decision and then the action to support your chosen thought.
When you are feeling frustrated, annoyed or even angry, ask yourself what you can do in that moment to raise your vibration and change the way you feel.
It might surprise you how easy it can be.
