A lot of us have gratitude journals. They are very effective in raising our personal vibration and I’d like to share an easy tip in making your gratitude journal even more powerful.
Rather than waiting until the end of the day to think about what to appreciate, begin your day by looking for things to be grateful for.
For example, the other morning, as I was looking for things to appreciate, I wondered what I could give thanks for in cleaning the kitchen sink. My first thought was to look elsewhere for something to be grateful for. I mean, really, there’s nothing exciting about that chore. Yet I began to see many blessings, having to do with cleaning the kitchen sink.
I realized:
- how grateful I was for having easily accessible water to clean with, and warm water at that! I thought,
- I’m grateful to have dishes to wash and a family to be able to nurture by providing meals for. Even the fact that
- I was a Merry Maid the summer before I started college, was now something I was grateful for. It had taught me many effective tips to make cleaning easy so I could quickly move on to other things.
The more I looked for things to be grateful for, the more I found, even in something as mundane as cleaning a kitchen sink!
In waiting until the end of the day, I don’t think it would have even occurred to me to list cleaning that sink as something to be grateful for. Yet starting my day with the conscious decision to LOOK for things to be grateful for, immediately moved me into that higher vibration. I then felt carried forward throughout the day, discovering countless things to appreciate! I no longer had to wait until evening to reap the benefits of experiencing gratitude!
I challenge you to start your day with the intention of finding as many things as possible to be grateful for and see how your day progresses. I bet you’ll have a lot more to write in your gratitude journal, come evening.
Share below, something you might have passed over that because you were looking for, you now recognize as something to be grateful for.

Each morning when I wake up I say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, then I say what I’m Thankful for…my body, my health, my breath, my warm bed, etc.
Then I go to the ocean and do Yoga & Meditation and create my SEA SCULPTURE..
,,.,,using Driftwood, Rocks, Twine, Sea Shells, etc. It’s my Alter and Sanctuary.
This sets the tone for my day, in Sales & Marketing, meeting people, to share or minister my Gratitude. I believe my inner peace radiates in my outer world.
Namaste.
