It’s the day after Christmas! Can you still bask in the joy of the season? Are you willing to carry the goodness and the love that is present in this season, forward into the New Year?
Yes, there may be challenges ahead and worries, but they need not take center stage. When those low moments arrive, you have a choice. You can choose to let the worries and fears overwhelm you or you can choose to focus on all that is good and right. Notice how you feel with each of these choices. And notice that what you are thinking about them determines how you feel.
Know that the only thing we have control over is our thoughts. If our thoughts are dragging us down with discouragement and despair, we can change those thoughts and alter the direction of our feelings. We change them by changing our focus.
As you focus on something that is going right, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, soon you will notice other things that are going right and so it continues. Your focus and thoughts determine the direction of your feelings. That is the way to expand the feelings of love and joy that have been present during the Christmas season, on into the New Year.
I invite you to focus your thoughts on all that is right and good and I challenge you to discover how that ability sets you up for a year filled with love and joy!
With love,
