I had a surprising experience recently.
During two unrelated conversations from two different individuals, I heard the exact same statement!
Hearing it made my heart sing, but it caught me off guard each time, because what was said is not a common sentiment.
The declaration was
“I love my life!”
Both of these friends are regular people, facing hardships and challenges in their lives.
Yet they choose to feel happy rather than succumb to the outward appearance of their problems.
In both conversations the enthusiasm was contagious, and I asked myself,
“Can I make the same claim? Do I love my life?”
What about you?
Can you say you love your life?
If not, what is keeping you from feeling the joy of a fulfilled and happy life?
For a long time I have been studying and learning about human nature and the why and how of our thoughts and emotions.
At one time in my life I had felt as if I was just “going through the motions,” with little joy to be found.
Since that time I have learned how to create and experience the results of the conscious decision to live in joy.
I will share what has helped me.
How to Create and Experience Joy
But there is one warning. These tips may seem simple and insignificant, but if you are consistent in applying them, they have the potential to alter your direction for a positive, fulfilling life.
- Refuse negativity in any form.
- Focus on all that is going right.
- Express gratitude daily.
- Know that you have a choice to learn from every experience.
- Trust there is a higher power that is aware of and concerned for your welfare.
Simple, yet powerful suggestions.
I encourage you to start each day by saying aloud, “I love my life!”
Notice how the rest of your day unfolds.
Here’s to your wonderful life!
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
By the way, yes, I do love my life!

Those are powerful suggestions, Melanie. For me, the first one, to refuse negativity in any form is challenging because it can creep in before I even recognize it is there. But I do know that I can make the choice to change it to a positive and learn the lesson that is there for me. Life does get difficult, but when we know there is always a lesson to be learned from our experiences, it helps us see the purpose for our struggles.
Melanie says
I agree Cheree! Learning from our hard times may not be easy, but so worth the effort!?

As usual Melanie …???
I’m adding your suggestions to a bookmark in my gratitude journal.
Melanie says
Thank you Amanda! I love your idea of putting reminders on a bookmark. I think I’ll do the same. ?
