Happy Independence Day!
This is a time of great celebration in the United States; a thrilling, wonderful time to commemorate the freedoms our country affords us!
A lot of what I do, is to teach and encourage mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic health. I know how important that is.
Yet, I also recognize and appreciate that spending time on this focus would not be possible without the freedoms and the advantages of the country I live in.
I have lived in places where because of laws and economy, the people spend the majority of their time working to survive. Washing clothes by hand for a family, takes all day. Buying groceries for that day’s meals has to be done each morning, because refrigerators are scarce and very expensive, if available. The needs of cooking and caring for a family take one’s full time and energy. Easy access to clean water is not common in many areas, much less having indoor plumbing for cooking or hygiene needs.
Struggling to survive is a daily and life-long reality for many.
For most of you reading this, it wasn’t that long ago, 200 years or less, that these realities were yours, or rather, your ancestors.
How grateful I am for those who have gone before and paved the way to allow the freedoms of thought and progress in society and as individuals. These can only be developed in a free nation of which I am so blessed to be a beneficiary!
Let us never forget that what we have available to us now is because of the hand of God in inspiring men and women to live lives of integrity and courage to sacrifice for and maintain the freedoms we have been so abundantly blessed with today!
Happy 4th of July!
Love,
