We’ve just finished celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States.
Were you able to enjoy the time with family and friends, or did you feel overwhelmed, and stressed?
Are you looking forward to Christmas or are you feeling tired and weighed down with responsibilities?
With to-do lists growing, what is intended to be a time of joy begins to feel more like a burden.
It needn’t be this way!
There is one simple solution to feeling overwhelmed.
* Keep it simple!
We often hear this refrain, but how often do we act on it?
Two questions to ask yourself to help you in keeping things simple are:
- What is the purpose of this event or activity?
- Is what I’m doing or planning, bringing me closer to the desired end result?
Is the purpose to keep ourselves and our children frantically busy or is the purpose to strengthen and deepen meaningful relationships?
I invite you to ask yourself if there is a way to simply what you are doing so the essence is there and the unnecessary can fade away?
My motto for this coming month is to
Remember the purpose and keep it simple.
I hope you find balance and joy in this upcoming Christmas season.
Much love,
