Today is Memorial Day here in the United States, a sacred and solemn reminder of the price of freedom.
It is the day set aside to remember and honor those who have fallen in battle to preserve the freedoms of our country.
I invite you to include in your celebrations the lesser known custom of the National Moment of Remembrance.
This is an opportunity to pause for one minute at 3 PM and remember those who have died in military service to the United States of America.
It is a special moment where we can join with others in a symbolic act of unity to honor the men and women who gave their lives to maintain the freedom and peace we enjoy.
