I recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina!
I spent a week with one of my daughters walking all over Sarajevo, their capital city, and I was amazed!
-The language enchanted me.
-The history and culture fascinated me.
-Exploring fortresses built in the 14th and 15th centuries astounded me.
-Walking over the Latin Bridge where Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated and thus began WWI dismayed me.
-Seeing the affects of the Bosnian war and abandoned 1984 Olympic buildings grieved me.
-Hearing the Muslim call to prayer five times a day uplifted me.
It is a beautiful city and country filled with remarkable people!
As I think of that city, the beauty, turmoil and strength of the people I am reminded of you, my reader.
-You, who also experience difficult times, yet exhibit great resiliency.
-You, who have the strength of character and desire to create a good life.
-You, who have the power to overcome.
And you inspire me!
Thank you for your beautiful life!
Much love,💕
