As I was recently cleaning out a grass-filled flower bed, to my surprise, I felt happy despite the windy weather.
You see, I do not like the wind! It agitates and makes me feel cranky and irritable. In fact, I do all I can to avoid being out in such weather.
But this day the wind seemed to have no effect on my well-being.
I was quite content to work in my garden.
I considered my unusual reaction to something I normally avoid, and immediately recognized the reason.
I had just completed a two-day refresher course for my SimplyAlign energy work.
I had been uplifted, strengthened and fulfilled.
The insight I received was that what was going on inside me had strengthened me against what was going on outside me.
The previous two days had fortified my mind and spirit. I felt impervious to external issues or problems.
Yet I knew that the raised spirits would only carry me so far.
What happens in-between those uplifting events?
What can we do to avoid emotional depletion?
I have found that daily supportive habits can be as strengthening as depending on big events or outside functions.
Consider the following questions to create your individualized special response.
*Do you take the time to be still and prepare yourself for the day?
*Do you have a strong connection with God and do you connect with Him daily?
*Do you forgive yourself and others and allow those burdens to be eased?
*Do you know the power of your mind and are you developing skills to manage your thoughts for your good?
What would you add to this list of inner strength building practices?
It is comforting to know that when we fill our inner vessels with truth and light, we increase our ability to withstand the external pressures that may swirl about us.
Like the little drops of a rain shower that gather and collect, create a small stream, and then produce a mighty river, the daily efforts to fortify and strengthen your mind and spirit will produce the ability to withstand any buffetings of emotional distress.

I love this post. Great questions to ponder.
Also, most of my life I considered wind my least favorite element, but the last several years this has changed. The wind, of all the elements, teaches of faith—feeling something you cannot see. Sometimes the wind gently brushes by in hello. Sometimes it whispers and soothes through the trees. Sometimes it whips and torrents and makes you wake up and take stock of your surroundings.
I love how much the wind teaches me and comforts me. Even when it shows its frightening power, I’m in awe of the wind.
Much love to you Melanie and thank you for your wisdom. ?

I absolutely love your insight Amanda!? Even though I’ve thought of the symbolism that wind can blow away smog and be briskly invigorating, I still found it hard to enjoy, but you’ve given me new eyes to see and appreciate. A reminder of faith.?Thank you for these beautiful lessons!?

Absolutely. I love how we all share our light. The sharing makes the world that much brighter. ?
